Fall into a Fabulous Frock & Fete…

11.12.2009

Fall has arrived. Orange leaves, pumpkins, squash and crisp clean air. Translate the warm and fuzzy fireside feelings of Fall into your wedding and dinner parties. Start by wearing a gown accented by burnt oranges or a glittering sequined cocktail dress with a floral sash in a dark Autumn color palette.

Don’t forget about your bridesmaids… Keep the dark palette of black layered with shades of oranges, peaches and grays. The layers and ruffles of the dresses are reminiscent of falling leaves and will flawlessly compliment your Fall inspired wedding gown. We love the unexpected accent of mustard colored shoes!

  1. Things are a little different down in the coastal South ~ it’s still very warm thru November-December, so too many fall colors don’t work. I did an event where we used a lot of ‘marsh’ colors (to mirror the marsh for our outdoor wedding) ~ some oranges, lots of handpicked rosemary, burlap table runners, oysters for votive holders, orange, yellow and red potted plants around … bride did lots of vibrant oranges for her bouquet, but for the most part we kept it simple and Low Country Southern-like. I’m happy to send a few pictures if you like! :)

  2. These table settings are amazing. And those dresses are beautiful. Perfect for Fall without being to obvious!

  3. The dresses are to die for! I love the idea of the giving tree table for the children. The stools around the table are too cute for words. What a great way to give “TNANKS”. The vibrant orange on the tables makes me think of the wonderful aroma of the turkey in the oven. A terrific time of year to celebrate!!!!!!

  4. Ooh, your blog is a feast for the eyes!
